THE WORLD FESTIVAL ON THE BEACH IN A CLICK
THE PHOTO CONTEST TAKES PLACE FOR PROFESSIONALS AND AMATEURS
The World Festival on the Beach is back and so is the Photo
Contest, the traditional contest is open to anyone who enjoys taking
photographs and who would like to capture the most important moments of
the Festival making them unforgettable. All you need is a camera and a
lot of imagination to take part in the Photo contest at the World
Festival on the Beach 2006, that will take place in Mondello from the
15th to the 21st of May.
The photo contest has been with the Festival for all 20 editions,
becoming through time one of the most awaited events. The contest takes
place on-line and this year’s theme will be the World Festival on the
Beach Image story. The winner won’t be the best image, but the best
story by images. In other words the winner will be the best photographer
who will catch the Festival by 10 photographs. During the week of the
Festival the participants will be able to update their virtual
photograph book, that must be however made up of 10 pictures. There will
also be daily prizes for the best photos of the day. Even those who don’t
have a camera can participate in the Photo Contest. A section is set
aside for those who want to take pictures with their mobile phones.
Professional photographers and those who are simply keen, from all over
the world, will take place in a contest that sees them taking off all
from the same level. It will be a jury, made up by journalists,
photographers and experts who will be connected on-line from all over
the world in electing the winner of the 2006 photo contest. The winner
will be announced on the last day of the Festival which is on the Sunday
the 21st of May.
You may enter the contest free of charge at the stand set up in the
village especially for the Photo Contest. The photo contest is organised
by the Albaria and by
www.mondellolido.it , in collaboration with HF distributions, a
European leader in books on photography. The official partner will be
the magazine “Il Fotografo”, who’ll attend the Festival for the fifth
year running.
