THE 21ST WORLD FESTIVAL ON THE BEACH WITH FESTINA WATCHES

The 2006 edition of the World Festival on the Beach will be
embellished by an exceptional sponsor Festina Watches, a leading
watchmakers company in Europe, who will work beside the organisers of
the Albaria for the 21st edition of the World Festival on the Beach, to
take place in Mondello from the 15th to the 21st of May 2006.
This prestigious name which is internationally known and is recognized
to have participated as a sponsor in a few well known sports events.
Just to mention a few: Festina is the official time keeper of the Tour
de France and a co-sponsor of the motorcycle team Honda Fortuna-Lotus
250cc class with its pilots Jorge Lorenzo and Hector Barberà. These
initiatives, together with a constant presence of the Festina group in
big sports events in the past few years, confirm their strategy to focus
on sport in order to make their brand known internationally.
It’s this strong relationship with sport that brings Festina to the
World Festival on the Beach, an event that offers great sports events
and shows in Mondello beach close to Palermo. It’s here that the
following events will take place: the European Windsurfing Championships,
sailing races, surf contests, the international beach volley tournament,
Golf, Sky Diving, Kitesurfing, Beach Rugby, but also the music shows
with the New Jazz Festival, the classical music by Symphony on the Beach
and also pop, rock and dance music for the younger audience.
