NICOLAS HUGUET WINNER OF THE WORLD FESTIVAL ON THE BEACH AND THE SICILY GRAND PRIX, FRANCE AND SPAIN WIN THE NATIONS CUP 2005

The Sicily Grand Prix races closed today with two races the XX edition of the World Festival on the Beach. After winning the World Champion title Nicolas Huguet took the podium again today beating Riccardo Belli dell’ Isca who today took a second and first place.
In the womens category Martina Fisco wins after a good days race that gave her a first and second place. Behind her came in Valeria Zullo and Valentina Failla.
After last years second place, France will thank Huguet winner of the World Festival on the Beach, and from the help of Beudou who is also French in winning the Nations Cup with 168 points. In second place Italy, thanks to Belli dell’Isca – Baffetti with 476 ponits and in third place Hong Kong with King Yan Chan and Ho Chi Ho with 749 points.
In the womans category the Iberians Blanca Manchon – Marina Alabau won with 315 points, Israel is second thanks to Lee Korzits and Shiri Ron’s results, 343,7 points, and Hong Kong takes third place again with Wai Kei Chan and Wai Man Chan at 348 points.

This morning in Mondello there was a high sails race which started from Palermo, the 3rd Spring Championships race organized by the Canottiera Club in Palermo. Ciarvino’s “Grande Evento” came in before Ziino’s “Triumphmed” and Corteggiani’s “Che si vuol dire”. Salmeri’s “Filo da Torcere” in the cruise-race class. Second place for Di Fede’s “Parsifal”. In the Cruise class Bellanca’s “Banzai” won, with Marchese’s” Filomena” and Restivo’s “Passatore” behind him. Di Colli’s” mira” was the only boat in race for the pleasure craft category.
