XX Edition World Festival On The Beach

FIRST EVENING MATCH: EMANUELE MONDUZZI AND GREGOR LAH BEAT THE FRENCH TEAM ZNATCHKOVSKY/FRAFT

The stands were full for the first evening match: after the football game between Palermo – Milan which was shown on a maxi screen in Valdesi Square, the beach volley began at 22.15 with Greg Znatchkovsky and Laurent Krafft and the other team made up of Emanuele Monduzzi from SanMarino and the Slovenian Gregor Lah.
France took the first set, they were cheered on by their french supporters who were here for the Windsurfing compititions. Half through the set the San Marino/Slovenian team beat them to 21 to 17.
A great second set was then played by Emanuele and Gregor who in the end won the match.
Today there will be 5 matches, at 10.30 a womans match for the queen of the beach title, and following that three mens matches for the semi – final places, in which the first semi – final match will take place at 22.00
