NICOLAS HUGUET AND BLANCA MANCHON EVEN CLOSER TO THE WORLD TITLE
Belli dell’Isca and Flavia Tartagliani are the first Italians

Yesterday there was hardly any wind for the windsurfing races, whereas today there was a good wind with a speed between 8 and 9 knots that allowed both categories to finish two races.
In the male category Nicolas Huguet is still in the leader even if he came in at 18th and 11th place today. Behind him Ivan Pastor from Spain came in third in the last race. The situation remains open between Cariolou from Cyprus and the Brazilian Riccardo Santos known as “Bimba”, they both stand at third place with the same amount of points.
Fifth place for the ISAF ranking leader, Oberemko from Ukraine.
Riccardo Belli dell’Isca leads among the Italians overtaking Riccardo Giordano, taking 20th position. This young guy from Palermo apart from coming in first among the Italians is also racing for the European Youth title. Nimrod Mashiah from Israel is second in the under 20s with an 8 point gap to first place.
In the women category Blanca Manchon is in the leader for both the World Championships and the European Youth Championships.
Todays results left behind the Spanish girl that can’t be caught, Marina Alabau also Spanish and Flavia Tartaglini who shows to be stable in the results despite the weather conditions in this edition of the World Championships are changing almost every day. Laura Linares goes up to 14th place in the ranking, with a 2nd and 11th place in todays races.
Tomorrow the IMCO Annual General Meeting will be held in Mondello while the World Championships has a break tomorrow and all races will continue on Wednesday, the 18th of May, at 1.00pm.
